The image attached shows Jesus at 12, 'teaching and listening' in the Temple. Kind of reminds me of the 1st 11 years of public school where we had school prayer and the Big 10 on the wall. In 1962, my last year of public school, the US Supreme Court said 'no God in schools'. After, in science classes, we heard how Charles Darwin created the universe (and downgraded until what is heard today).

I guess it what happened in Israel at Jesus' time. Then as now Jesus come to teach us where our priorities should be. And with the dire warnings of future destruction (70 AD) if we do not, at least, pay attention to the Big 10 Commandments and know and teach our Scriptures.

I am so disappointed in today's Churches, and how they put tradition and theology (isms) first, instead of what the Scriptures, in context, actually says, and what Jesus said. What did Jesus know and when?

Nothing has divided us more than the method of Baptism.

The early Church deemed the method to be sprinkling of primarily infants. Probably preventing the Church Rite from becoming an addon.

Later the Baptist method of emersion and some form of adult understanding. Probably preventing the ‘Chosen’ concept.

Both methods meant to bring some sort of sanctification and holiness. Seems logical.

Either way I have to believe it is a church rite and should be transferrable.

I guess those are fighting words. With the infighting the Baptism of the Spirit has been lost. And maybe the Great Commission.

As with Adam and Eve, today the Devil's main weapon is 'the power of suggestion'.

Many today are listening to the Devil to get what they think they need. Even if we need it, what are we willing to do to get it.

God's Spirit is also speaking and His main weapon is the 'power of suggestion'.

Which are we listening to? Maybe both, but are The Ten Commandments our guide in which we listen to? Seems like Jesus put others first when He died for us. Maybe that is a good place to start...

Each time I hear Jacob's name means 'supplanter' I get upset.

Esau called Jacob a supplanter.

Genesis 27 36. And Esau said, "Is he not rightly named Jacob? For he has supplanted me these two times. He took away my birthright, and now look, he has taken away my blessing!''

Jacob made the Heroes of Faith in Hebrews 11, not Esau.

I believe we have to read the accounts of Heroes of Faith with a discerning eye to see who the real 'supplanter' was.

Genesis 25 29. Now Jacob cooked a stew; and Esau came in from the field, and he was weary. 30. And Esau said to Jacob, "Please feed me with that same red stew, for I am weary.'' Therefore his name was called Edom. 31. But Jacob said, "Sell me your birthright as of this day.'' 32. And Esau said, "Look, I am about to die; so what profit shall this birthright be to me?'' 33. Then Jacob said, "Swear to me as of this day.'' So he swore to him, and sold his birthright to Jacob. 34. And Jacob gave Esau bread and stew of lentils; then he ate and drank, arose, and went his way.

Thus Esau despised his birthright.
